Join us this Friday, 12.4.2009 at 7:30pm, for a private screening of the short film, “We,” directed by Carl R. Jaeger.
“We” is the story of two men trying to put their marriage back together. Unsure why Adam left him in NY more than three months earlier, Sam has flown across the country to San Francisco to see if they can make their relationship work. It is clear that they love each other, but is love enough? Once certain choices are made, can they be undone? Planning a few days drive across the country to spend some much needed time together, will they be helped or hindered by what they find in the middle of the country? In the end, will their friends
and family support them?
As many states across America struggle to make room for gay marriage,
“We” explores a few days in the lives of two men struggling to be
together.
Several talented artists have agreed to let “We” use their music to tell this story. The funds raised at this work in progress screening will be used to defray the cost of music in the film.
If you have already donated to the film in some way, please come join us as our guest. For all others, there will be a $10.00 door charge. Wine will flow freely, and the well drinks and beer will be discounted for our event.
We are excited to host a fundraiser for my good friend, Philein, and her Zi Ru Tiger Dance Productions for its tour in China this summer.

Bay Area choreographers and dancers are invited to come and explore potential collaborations on future international tours!
Zi Ru Tiger Dance company will be bringing US companies to perform in China several times a year. The tour is produced by Philein Wang and co-produced by Alison Friedman, in alliance with Praxis Project & LDTX Beijing/Dance.

Collaborating artists include: Winifred R. Harris’ Between Lines/A Modern Dance Company, Darrien Henning, writer/director Aaron Woolfolk and Guest Artist, Miko Doi-Smith.
Slides, Videos and Excerpts from the tour will be shown.
In URB 15th Annual Next 100 Issue, our beloved Phonic resident, J.Phlip, was featured. “It’s unexplicable,” it said, “but it seems only one girl per year gets inducted into the upper clique of techno and house DJs. But if we’re only allowed one, then [J.Phlip] is the perfect selection to take this year’s place in the boys’ club. Her ‘Rumble Rumble’ cut has been shaking bassbins worldwide, since her signing with Claude Von Stroke’s Dirtybird lable. Get to San Fran now to catch this Chicago native at her Endup residency, before she ghosts off to Europe like so many of her peers.”
We are just so excited for J.Phlip . . . and we are sure that when she darts off to Europe, The Endup will always be her home.
On Sunday 03.29.09, Devotion celebrated its 8th anniversary at the Endup. The Devotion family gathered in force and by the time Ruben hit the decks, the energy on the dance floor was unmistakeable. We give you “Live at Devotion 3.29.09.” This mix is in four parts. Enjoy the journey.
The art of seduction, the tease of the game, the life of the dream!
